Silversnow's life part 7

Three days had passed and Silverpaw was out of the Medicine cat den because her wound had healed. She was out hunting. Graystripe had taught her how to hunt yesterday. She then scented prey. Mouse! She looked around for it, staying quiet, and spotted the mouse. She got down into a hunter's crouch and then pounced on the mouse killing it with one swift bite to the neck. Silverpaw then baried it under some dirt to come back and get it later.

*Silverpaw was trying to scent more prey when she saw Nightpaw* "Nightpaw?"

*Nightpaw turned around from where he was* "Hey Silverpaw. How's your hunting?"

"Good, I just caught a mouse and before that I had caught 2 voles, but I thought I would catch one more thing before I head back to camp."

"Wow. Sounds like hunting is going good for you."

*Silverpaw nodded* "Well, I better get back to hunting." *Then she walked off trying to scent more prey*

Silverpaw then scented a vole. The scent was close and she saw the vole. She got down into a hunting crouch then pounced on the vole killing it with one bite. She picked up the prey and went to find the other's she had killed. Once she got all the prey, she headed back to camp with all 4 prey hanging from her mouth by their tails.

*Silverpaw was walking over to the fresh kill pile when Graystripe walked up to her.* "Good hunting I guess?"

*Silverpaw nodded and set the prey down on the fresh kill pile* "Yeah, prey's good today."

"That's good. Take some fresh kill to the elders den and then you can eat."

"Okay." *Silverpaw picked up some fresh kill and took it to the elders den*

"It's about time we got somthing to eat." *Camn Mousefur's voice* "Im starving."

*Silverpaw dropped one of the voles she got infront of Mousefur* "Here you go. I caught this one myself."
*Then she dropped the mouse infront of Longtail* "I caught 3 voles and 1 mouse."

*Longtail let out a purr* "Your a good hunter Silverpaw."

*Silverpaw looked praised* "I do my best."

*Mousefur nodded* "Seems like you are."

*Silverpaw's looked even more praised*

"Now you go off and get yourself somthing to eat. Im sure your hungry." *Longtail said sympathetically*

*Silverpaw nodded and walked out of the den and padded over to the fresh kill pile. She picked out a vole and then she saw Nightpaw eating alone so she walked over to him and sat down next to him* "Hi Nightpaw. I see your back. Did you have a good hunt?"

*Nightpaw nodded* "Yeah. Like you said, prey's good today."

*Silverpaw nodded* "See. Prey is very good today."

Nightpaw and Silverpaw started eating their fresh kill talking to eachother about their hunt. Then they heard Firestar call a meeting "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the highrock for a clan meeting."

*Silverpaw got up from where she was and walked over beneath the highrock*

*Nightpaw followed*

*Firestar stood on the Highrock* "Squirrelpaw, come forward."

*Silverpaw then remembered that today was the day Squirrelpaw came a warrior and she saw Squirrelpaw walk up to Firestar*

"I, Firestar, leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She had trained to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Squirrelpaw, do you promise to uphold the code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

*Squirrelpaw nodded* "I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name, Squirrelpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Squirrelflight. StarClan honors your courage and strength and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan." *Then Firestar rests his muzzle on Squirrelflight's head*

*Squirrelflight licks his shoulder with respect*

The clan starts calling out her name "Squirrelflight! Squirrelflight!"

Everyone went to congradulate her.

*Silverpaw walked up to Squirrelflight* "Happy that your a warrior now?" *Sympathetic eyes*

*Squirrelflight nodded* "Very."

*Squirrelflight and Silverpaw were still talking when Firestar walked up to Squirrelflight* "Ready to keep vigil tonight?"

*Squirrelflight nodded*

Everyone went to their dens to go to sleep and Squirrelflight sat in the middle of the camp keeping vigil.

*Silverpaw had said bye to Squirrelflight and went to her den with all the apprentices and settled down next to Nightpaw* "Night."

*Nightpaw yawned* "Night." *Then drifted off to sleep*

*Silverpaw gave a big yawn and fell asleep also*
