Silversnow's life part 19

It had been days since Silverpaw had saved that little RiverClan kit, Mosskit, from drowning in the river. The next Gathering would be tomorrow.

*Silverpaw padded happily into ThunderClan camp with 3 voles in her mouth, she felt pleased on catching that many* *She walked over to the fresh kill pile and set her 3 voles down on the pile*

"Silverpaw, take some prey to the elders please."

*Silverpaw turned around to see Graystripe and nodded* Okay. *She grabbed one of the voles she had caught and a thrush and padded to the elders den*

"Hello, Silverpaw." *Silverpaw heard Longtail's voice and she padded up to him and Mousefur and set down the fresh kill* "Hi Longtail. I brought you and Mousefur some fresh kill."

"And it's about time we got something to eat also." *Mousefur rasped* "I thought we would have to wait forever."

*Longtail touched Mousefur's shoulder with the tip on his tail sympatheticaly* "Silverpaw would never let us go hungry, she's always bringing us fresh kill."

*Mousefur's only reply was small grunt and she started eating the thrush*

"Thanks Silverpaw." *Longtail meowed*

*Silverpaw nodded and padded out of the den to see Poppypaw* "Hey Poppypaw!"

*Poppypaw raced across the clearing to her* "Hi Silverpaw."

"The Gathering's tomorrow! Do you know if your going?"

*Poppypaw shook her head* "I dont know yet." *And then she looked up at Silverpaw* "What about you?"

*Silverpaw shook her head also* "Dunno yet. Graystripe will tell me if Im going or not."

*Poppypaw just nodded, then adding* "Well I have to go, Im going on a border patrol. I'll talk to you later."

*Silverpaw nodded and watched Poppypaw leave with the rest of the patrol*

"Silverpaw." *She heard her name being called and she turned around to see Firestar padding up to her* "Yes, Firestar?"

"Graystripe's out on a patrol, but me and him have already decided that you can come to the Gathering tomorrow."

*Silverpaw's eyes shined with happiness* "That's great! What about Nightpaw?"

*Firestar shook his head* "Nightpaw wont be going this time, but he'll be able to next time."

"Oh, okay."

*She thought that Firestar must have seen the disappointment in her eyes because he added* "Not all of you can go everytime, their's just going to be some times when you or Nightpaw or anyone else cant go."

*Silverpaw sighed* "I know, I know." *Then she added* "Do you want me to tell Nightpaw?"

"No, me or Dustpelt will tell him later."

*She nodded* "Okay."

*Firestar then padded off to the fresh kill pile*

"Hey Silverpaw! Guess what?"

*Silverpaw sighed, it had seemed like she was talking to a lot of others today, then she looked up to see Hazelpaw* "What?"

"Squirrelflight just told me that I can go to the Gathering!" *Her eyes gleamed and then she asked* "Are you?"

*She nodded* "Yes, Firestar just told me."

"Great! I wonder who else is going...? You think Runningpaw is coming?"

*Silverpaw knew Hazelpaw liked Runningpaw, and always wanted to be around him* "I dont know."

"I hope he does!" *Hazelpaw meowed and then she turned to see Runningpaw coming in the camp* "I'll go ask him! See ya Silverpaw." *She bounded off to Runningpaw*

*Silverpaw sighed* "I could do with a little rest...." *Then she heard some of her clanmates yowling in suprise, she then heard something that almost made her heart stop* "Sandstorm's hurt!"
